Steam Release! Wishlist now! (v1.04.2)
Ages of Conflict is getting a Steam release!
You can wishlist the game HERE or from below!
The Full version of the game will feature many requested features, such as:
- More Terrain types
- Better combat (moving to a more manpower focused approach rather than multiplying circles)
- Better performance & support for larger maps
- Better alliances & rival mechanics
- Scenarios & saved games
Adding the game to your Wishlist will show me and Steam that the game has interest so please do so, Thank You! :)
The current version here on itch.io will remain free and work as a demo for the game. If you are upset about the game getting a paid version, please remember that I can't keep developing a game for free for multiple months. This way I have some way of earning some money for my work.
With this announcement, I'm also bringing a new update to the game, v1.04.2
Changelog v1.04.2
- Added 2 new maps: Pangea & Oceania
- Added Steam Wishlist Button
- Nation's won't break alliances if automatic alliances are turned off
- Fixed game starting before setup is ready
- Added premade Custom Map folder to downloaded version

loved the game any approximate release date for steam?
quick Question will this version of the game be updated to
small updates like map updates and performance fixes might come at some point for the demo, but I'm not sure if I will put the full version on sale on itch, as the code uses a lot of steam api which might not work outside steam, so additional work would be needed to make a separate version for itch
ah ok thank for telling me
I've been regularly keeping up with the updates and those previews are lookin mighty juicy if i do say so myself. I am excited to say the least. This is easily one of my favorite types of these games, up there with Hearts of Iron IV tbh.
Thanks!
it aint much, but its the honest work (:
ikr
Can we add a border gore mode? It is just interesting :)
Edit: I mean with enclaves
In the steam screenshots you can actually see that you can disable exclave removal. So, you will be able to do it on steam, not sure about the downloadable or the browser version.
I'm glad you guys are going to steam but I have few questions.
1. Will there be workshop functionality(to share and play user maps, scenarios, mod's etc...)?
2. How much will the steam version cost?
3. Maybe it's a bit early to ask but, what will be the main differences be between both versions?
Anyways, I am glad to see this game further develop!
workshop functionality is deffinitely something I will try to implement. Haven't decided on the price yet, but depending on how much stuff I implement before release, probably between 5-10€. You can see a rough list of features that will definitely be added to steam version on the Discord
what i thought it would be free
Developers generally need money to continue development on a game, as well as just general necessities so they can eat and other things like that. with the way jokupelle is going though, i think we may see larger updates on the steam version, so i think it works out.
COOL! But will it require payment in Steam?
yea it will cost 5-10 euro
