Yes but the setup is a bit more difficult. The other person would need to give you the custom scenario files and you would need to put them into the right folder.
Otherwise I would suggest you buy the steam version or buy it from here and use the Steam key given to you during purchase
no, the achievement is about getting a randomly generated nation as "Jokupelle" which has a very small chance of happening (also it has to be randomly generated, cannot be spawned or renamed)
I like so much this game, i literally starting playing in 2022. Before it release on steam! My first game was on 31 december 2022, again, a legendary game
Can you please make revolts for un-recognized states (Somaliland, Abkhazia, Luhansk, etc.) teritorially accurate? If a country annexed another country, and the annexed country revolts, can you leave it as it is, the nation spawns in a random part of the anexer please?
It's sad because revolts would always be random. I'm no game developer but trying to get the accurate amount and arrangement of that many pixels would probably be too much for the internal game code.
Nah, they use completely different account systems, so I don't think that will happen. Also I don't think Google Play and Apple have that kind of systems :/
So I bought the game an I love it! Would ever add a default scenario that functions like the demo? Like a throwback. (Like encircled units die no matter what)
Last thing:
How do I get the achievements with skill, or is it just RNG.
For the achievements, a few of them do require some luck. But you can affect many things like AI Settings and some nation stats without losing the achievement requirements. In the Actions-panel there is a small trophy symbol if you can still get the "No actions/painting" achievements
I think that a designated river feature would be great for this game. Instead of players having to use normal water tiles to simulate a river, there could be some way to place a separation between two land tiles, preventing a nation on one side from crossing to the other, but you would still be able to place river crossings at certain points like normal.
Basically, rivers would not take up any space, but would simply act as dividers between land tiles, this way if there are two cities sitting across from each other, one on each side of a river, they can be placed right next to each other, but the river can still play a part.
Hmm. Interesting, though the problem would be that they could not be added to base map files, which are just png images. They would need to be added when making a scenario, which might not be terrible though. I'll think about it!
Is there a road map anywhere? I love the game and am looking forward to any and all changes coming! Features Im interested in in knowing more about:
How will the reworked economy work
will there be changes so that countries maybe won't have as many exclaves
are you planning on adding some type of event system
Will the idea of armies come back?
Will there be peace negotioation simulation in the future (what i mean by that is that when a war ends there might be different realocations of the fought over territory - or that a country takes the rest territory - or there might be a white peace under certain circumstances)
One last thing: will there be more wide reaching mod support?
I think that's all, I'm sorry if it is all a bit long and too much but I am really invested in the project because I love the game idea.
Im sorry for writing even more, but I just remembered one last thing: will the Combat strength (Im sorry if that isn't the correct term) ever not be randomly determined?
changes to economy certainly and maybe warfare. I don't think countries have that maybe exclaves currently. Armies won't come back. Not sure about the others. Combat efficiency can be changed to move slowly, plus donations do affect it also
with the flags update, maybe you could add different types of flags from different eras or be able to make AI generated flags, it could be hard but if you want to add these then it's your choice!
I was wondering, is this game open-source (or is there someway I could see the code)?
I just want to dive into how the game and find out exactly how its mechanics work. I’ve looked everywhere, and I can’t seem to find any specific documentation on anything.
Also, in regards to any suggestions I have, I feel like just making the game a bit more modular would be awesome!
For example, you could just to little things like allowing the player to set how much gold should be payed by puppets or the maximum amount of gold (per tile) for countries when maximum gold is enabled. This way, you won’t have to constantly change this if it seems wrong later; you’ll just be able to customize it as the player.
It's not open source. What mechanic are you specially wondering about how it works?
As for stuff like changing some values like puppet gold, I'll think about it. But since I will probably adjust how the economy works anyway it probably won't happen yet
I was just curious about how the game determines wether or not a country/nation should become a puppet of another nation after a war (is it based on a percentage of land lost, is it a static number, or maybe it’s something else).
I also wanted to know how the new city revolts feature works; what does the revolution-percentage represent? Does it mean that once a certain duration of time passes, the game randomly determines wether or not a city revolts based on the percentage? I’m not to sure lol.
Nation will become a puppet if they lost any territory and they are small enough compared to the other. If I remember correctly it was probably like 40% size max.
As for city revolts. Revolts can naturally occur if the percentage is higher than 100%. And they specifically occur when the current owner ends a war. That's when possible revolts are checked.
Maybe it sounds like Hoi4 and doesn't fit this game, but in addition to creating countries, changing terrain, and preparing for war in map editing mode, events happen when the time is right (e.g., civil war breaks out in Italy when it is August 2028...). If we could set up the details of this, it would open up more simulation possibilities and more mods, which would be a good thing.
Hello, make countries that want independence and dont make us, players, press on a country and press Revolt so that country can have independence, no, just make that countryalready independent please, thank you.
That doesn't make sense. That is what revolts are for! They aren't supposed to be preset independent. Then again, you can go to the discord server and request this.

I've been playing since I saw Drew playing this
since like, the beta version of the game
can u play full for free
no
Can you play custom maps made by users on the itch io version?
Yes but the setup is a bit more difficult. The other person would need to give you the custom scenario files and you would need to put them into the right folder.
Otherwise I would suggest you buy the steam version or buy it from here and use the Steam key given to you during purchase
I already bought it, how can i check my steam key?
I found the steam key, how do i get the steam version with the steam key?
Google it :D
thx :D
I got the gsme on steam now :D i prefer steam over itch io cuz when a game gets an update i have to download the file again
can u get the scenarios from google search?
can you add borders to the demo game so we can try to make scenarios ourselfs think of it like a bug fix just makes the demo smoother
In the full version the borders are just outlined. you need the full ame to make a scenario
Got this on steam and I saw an achievement and I believe that works if JokuPelle replies
Maybe, he might explain it in this comment
no, the achievement is about getting a randomly generated nation as "Jokupelle" which has a very small chance of happening (also it has to be randomly generated, cannot be spawned or renamed)
ok

Hey, I'm interested in translating this game to Brazilian Portuguese. If you could hit me up I'd appreciate it
Can you add an establish core button in the control panel? It would be easier than just doing it manually
Theres 0.0000001% that jokupelle replies...
You got lucky, this time :D
:DDDD
so it's a game that like worldbox?
Kinda? Worldbox is more focused on individual animals/people, while this one is focused on nations
right
Can you add a population counter of each nation in the simulation?
Hello Joku!
I have a suggestion.
Can you please make revolts for un-recognized states (Somaliland, Abkhazia, Luhansk, etc.) teritorially accurate? If a country annexed another country, and the annexed country revolts, can you leave it as it is, the nation spawns in a random part of the anexer please?
Thanks

Can you add the armies mode from the demo to the main game? (Ik this is my 3rd comment on this game)
joku stated they wont add armies in this message
oh
How do I get achievements on the itch.io version?
You can't currently
Oh
h
protectorate
Hello dear developers, you can add combat tactics to the game
You should make it so that we can redeem a code to unlock the mobile version of the game when we buy it on here, would be amazing!
Nah, they use completely different account systems, so I don't think that will happen. Also I don't think Google Play and Apple have that kind of systems :/
Can you make a flag view where the countries area shows their flag?
i think that'll be a bad idea to be honest, since its a pixel looking game, colors might look like another country's territory
Maybe there could be... like very VERY dark borders, so that it's clear
So I bought the game an I love it! Would ever add a default scenario that functions like the demo? Like a throwback. (Like encircled units die no matter what)

10/10 game, addicted.
where is the history logbook text file
Same place as your save and scenario files, look up the path in the info box in the main menu saves list
thanks i just found that out today because i was messing around with custom maps in paint but thanks :)

W FLAGSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Huh ?
there are flags now
Could someone help me out?

JOKU ADDING FLAGS. IS SUPER. U ARE A PROGGRAMER AND CREATOR GOD
Thank you so much for updating the flag! Seriously! It's too bad! God update here━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━!!
cool 10/10
Its a good game 8/10
Почему нет России? А также почему нет добавление участников, а только 2. Почему нельзя делать уничтожение страны? И убирать восстания и т.д.
You can disable revolts in the demo. Russian language is in the full version, and bigger alliances.
понятно
「同盟」モードにしたときに、一つ一つの国名を表示するのではなく、同盟の名前を表示することにしたほうがいいと思います。
I think it would be better to display the name of the alliance instead of displaying the name of each country when in "Alliance" mode.
Jokupelle, you should addd flag maps on the game, and make country name bigger when thew expand more
