Make it so when you spawn a nation before you start the game you can undo or delete the nation in case of misclick

Yeah that's a good idea its kinda annoying when that happens

(+2)(-1)

Idea:

You can control a nation.

How it works: It will not do anything unless you make it happen. Make sure that you add a randomizer so that you cant ally with the entire map. If you ally with at least 2 nations then if they attack each other whoever attacked will automatically break the alliance with you. It alerts you and says your people are tired of war and might have a revolution. At fifty percent If a revolution has not happened yet then it will say to take a break or a revolution will occur.

(+2)

Please give opinions

(+4)(-1)

Considering that it specifically says under the game AI-Only and is specifically made for you only to observe, I doubt that this is going to get added.

Oh, I didn't see that

Yes that would be so good

(+4)

suggestions:

1. timelines

2. group alliances

3. world peace on/off toggleable

4. more map

My opinion:

1: Yeah, a timeline of a specific era could be good

2: Like NATO?

3: Would stop alliances breaking just for war, that'd be great

4: You can just make your own but yeah it would be nice for more choices to choose from

Idea: Royal Marriages + Heir

Rulers can marry to eachother, forming a dynastic alliance and union. The kingdom controlling the union (I.e one that holds capital) should have the heirs count towards that kingdoms royal lineage. However, if multiple heirs are produced, the empire will become divided amongst both heirs. Same with normal countries too.

you should add mountains, which would be like a river or the sea except on land and you cant cross through it. idk maybe you could add mountain passes  as well.

(+1)

Idea Add and edit this map exmaple : Select world map then edit the world map as you like then you can play it also and a save button.

(+1)

Could you make it available to Mac OS?

I feel you dude, please do add it for Mac

(+4)

Idea: Add kind of personalities to countries / rulers and personalities to them. For expample, agressive country: attacks others a lot, has an attack buff, but revolt chance grows faster and drops slower. Or for example diplomatic: is rarely attacked by enemies, and attacks only when they are definetely weaker, also easily make peace and alliances, but they have a weaker army. Or a peacekeeper one: If able to help, helps an invaded country by attacing the invader. Also relations will be nice; it seems unlogical seeing countries who have been allies/in peace for a long time waging war on eachother.

(1 edit)

It would go with being able to control nations like I said. Just imagine.

Ya works with my idea too. maybe even marriages, family trees, would add to world building

(2 edits) (+1)

edit: This bug was mentioned before, and the great developer said it'd be hard to fix it because that requires deep changes in core mechanics.
But because this bug is really frustrating, I am going to keep the text below.

When a nation attacks another, and a third neutral nation happens to be a neighbour of both, the ownership/control of the pixels conquered by the victorious nation is transferred to the neutral nation, effectively separating both warring nations, and rendering small-scale wars impossible.

I also cannot force two countries to ally, make peace or wars quite frequently.

(1 edit) (+1)

As a programmer i have a solution: don't make the pixel neutral, but in kind of in another state - "Burning" or "Spoilt by war" etc, and allow enemy states take such pixels with armies, but only enemy state

(+4)

It would be fun if you cuold create the nations with borders before the game start. instead of letting them expand by their own

(+3)

add an option to completely dissolve a country into uninhabited land. (this would be good for when my favorite country is getting invaded by a stronger one)

(3 edits) (+6)

These are a bunch of suggestions that people have been requesting. I've compiled them with some of MY suggestions.

- Factions: 3 or more nations in a joint alliance. (Maximum could be 5-6 nations.)

- Permanent Alliances: This could also be a new god power (force permanently.) As always, this alliance would still be breakable with god powers. With this it would be easier to not have to force re-ally with a country that broke an alliance.

If factions were added, same thing would apply to them.

- Landscapes: For example, mountains. It would be harder to go through with regular armies. Plains would be easier to go through for regular armies. A couple other landscapes could be forest and jungle. (I'm sure JokuPelle can come up with more landscapes.) With these new geographical features, trained armies could be added (also suggested below this suggestion.)

The next suggestion would only exist if landscapes are added.

- Trained Armies: Armies that are specifically trained for a said location. If a troop was a trained troop in snowy climates, they would be able to make more of a force against the opponent in said climate area. If a troop was less trained in a different climate/landscape, they would push less of a force than an split-trained troop.

- Population Counter: Simple, just shows a chart of the most populated countries. This could also have a function where if there is a higher population in said country, there would be more troops reinforced on borders, cities and cores, since people would probably sign up more because of the higher population. This can also be based off of the revolution chance. The higher the revolution chance, the lower percentage of (extra) population in the military.

Border Editor: Can be used to make a preset at the beginning of the game.

- Reinforment Adder: Self-explanatory, gives reinforcements to a said country. This feature would make it much easier to make a particular country get stronger. Can be used at the beginning of the game WITH the border editor or during the game.

This next suggestion would work only if landscapes are added.

- Commanders: This is a bit complex. There can be up to 2 commanders. Each commander has a skill in said landscape(s). For example, Bob could be a commander that specializes in commanding battles in Forest and Jungle landscapes. There could also be debuffs coming with a commander. Bob could be unspecialized in plains or desert. While this is optional to countries, if there are 2 commanders leading the army of a nation, then they would either split if there were 2+ fronts or have a said chance to go on 1 front if there is only 1 front to fight on. However, if there is only 1 front only one commander can fight on that front.

- City Maker: Makes a city for a nation and appropriately adds troops around the city to guard it.

- Unions: Unions can be made of 2-3 different nations uniting together under one central government. One capital city is decided upon and the rest of the capital cities are turned into special cores that if successfully rebel (less likely to rebel after a unision) can reform the borders before the unision.

With this feature, permanent uniter tool can be added as a god power, like the permanent alliance feature.

That was long. Anyway, I hope at least 2 or 3 of these features make it into the game in the near future.

(+1)

Suggestions that i used from other players or made myself:

Uniting: Uniting will make countries well, form a union If 2 countries dont like eachother which is less likely than the alliance they will split

City Editor: Make cities for countries

Treaty mode: When a country takes the capital they will  take a bit of lands other than the capital And this can be with size difference if the country won and they are a small country they will get 1 pixel which is less likely to 100 pixels which is more likely and the other way around. If they are half though the pixels will get randomized

Nuke Mode: Countrys can get nukes in 100 years to 500 years They can only have 5 nukes and if they are losing alot or getting close to the capital they will nuke a city or a capital which has a 80% chance of surrendering (only if its a city)

Some difficult landscape: Landscape like mountains Mountains should have depth size too if the mountains has 1 depth its a bit slow if its 5 depths its slow and 10 is very slow This will change alot

Exclave mode: a mode where countrys can have exclaves

Change Country Borders: Make so that you can change a countrys border

Make Countrys in Map Editor *with the country border editor too*: Preload countrys

Different Brushes: What i mean by different brushes is like making islands in a instant

Brushes Type: Islands (makes a random island) And add what ever you like

Force War/Alliances: Force a country to make war forever or allies forever

More Alliance Members:: When creating a alliance there should be Pacts where 3 or more countries can be allies

(+1)

Can we get an update that makes it so that when you press revolt in god options for a nation, you can pick where the capital city of the revolt will be. It would be possible to make the soviet union collapse with the proper capitals of the new countries. There could also be a "collapse" button in the god options which would make the selected nation separate into several countries.

(+1)

Can you add a unite button?

(+2)

add deaths and population

(1 edit)

yeah that would be cool

(+1)

So i got an Idea for this game . Honestly i dont know if for other people it would be a cool one but What if randomly ( and rarely ) for a country it happens so that theres a Leader but this leader is Better at war ( kinda like napoleon ) and the other countries form pacts to beat it.

Different types of rulers with different traits would be nice.

(-11)

What. Why cant i Play? it says i need 64 bit device this game looks like 1 bit!FIX THAT AND MAKE IT COMPATIBLE W 32 BITS!!!! I CAN RUN THIS ON MY TOASTER BUT NOT ON A 32 BIT WINDOWS 10!

(+7)

play in browser

Yea

LOL

is the exact same not a single feature lost...

(+2)

you ever though about adding cultures and religions to each country? so whenever a country conquers another one, they have to  convert their territory, though i dont know how difficult to implement that could be

(+1)

I bet Religion wouldnt change much. If cultures exist it should be like WorldBox it should give maybe countries advantages for example getting armies faster or faster in gaining territory Stuff like that

how do armies work in this game?

(1 edit)

I think circles are place where there are some troops, when in far, circles will also be in place of pixels conquered, thats why in fighting there is so much circles(this is just my thinking, i am not sure if its true)

Maybe its a strategy that the owner made for countries to use Thats why they like to trap alot of armies

the ai will send armies to the border. once they gain clear land they gain more armies, the little black circles when you click show armies you'll be able to see them. They will go and fight other armies and conquer the other country and achieve total world domination.

The thing that shows the naval area that you control is so cool.

(+8)

Maps you can download and put them to custom maps

Wanna know how to make custom maps or get custom maps? try to look through my profile and find the tutorial

(1 edit) (+8)

I made these maps well not making them I downloaded them and you can use them too! (only for the download version)

How to download maps

Step one: Make a custom map this will open up a custom map folders in your ages of conflict data

Step two: Find a black and white image for example (south america black and white map) Do not use the ones with color

Step three: Go to https://www.img2go.com/resize-image and insert your image there

Step four: Turn on your ages of conflict and make a custom map thats looks like it has the width and height of that image

Step five: Now you picked your size you can pick your dpi Mostly i pick 64 DPI maybe you can change it up

Step six:Now make and resize the image Now when  your image is resized you can insert it to custom maps (Ages of conflict folder --> ages of conflict data --> custom maps)

Step seven: Now load up ages of conflict and use your own map you downloaded

This will be helpful for people who cant make maps! or share with other people

Share with other people that play ages of conflict so that everyone can play any map they want

thank you these are very good maps

So did you make those maps or are they images so you can make them off the image? However you did it, they look great.

I just downloaded them then resized them

(+1)

Pretty cool and simple game. My suggestion for the game is to add civilization names and having the capital names a separate name. My only complaint is that the spawning of civilizations sometimes makes no sense (for example, one area will be cluttered with a bunch of civilizations while one area will have little to none civilizations.) I also ask that you add a Mac download option for us Mac users :)

yes sir

I already asked this but I can't find my comment. I think any exclaves connected to the coast should not be deleted. So you can have a collapsed empire on both sides of the Mediterranean. I had a scenario with that before the update. Then after, I had a country in Africa that owned South America, then had it disconnected, then South America just disappeared.

Glad I can play this game on the web, I tried to download it but I can't run it bc I am 32bit lol

Big thanks for you and respect for this wonderful work

(1 edit)

While I love the game and respect the choices made for the better of it, I feel like the removal of exclaves was a big mistake. Have people seen the border gore that happens during war? If a country wants to get rid of border gore it has to eliminate the enemy nation. It is so sad that when a country has a HUGE exclave inside another country and then all that just disappears. Please bring back the exclaves! Congrats on your success! (Edit: I have played some more and the amount of times great nations lose their footholds because of this makes me want to scream)

There could be an option at the beginning (Next to allow alliances/revolts) that says allow exclaves

Agree

(-1)

eh i think the borders are fine I just think there should be a country border editor

(+2)

I love this game but you should add more things i recommend adding the following

1.  Naming the civilizations without clicking "Ready" yet.

2. An option to remove or replace civilizations.

3. Army strength list to see how powerful the country is.

4. Some Difficult or Flat terrain.

5. Making Custom cities within the cities.

6. New maps that are not like the middle east one like no rivers like a USA Map.

7. Atomic Technology for civilizations.

8. Saving Rounds in case we accidentally close our browser while the game is still on (for browser).

9. Puppeted Countries .

10. Full annexations instead of civilizations just taking over the capital.

11. More than 2 countries can ally eachother.

12. Air Forces.

If you're busy you can do this any time or it's okay if you don't do it but the game really needs more things.

I don't think the air force or nukes make sense for this game but everything else is nice.

i would like the idea for nukes. Maybe not nukes in particullar but some bombs you know. Like the current bug right now it freezes when killing armies they have surrounded and they they dissapear as if there was a bomb. That could be  realy feature instead of a bug and it would look cool as well.

1. Neat

2. Pretty good its more fun if you get more control over the countries

3. Strength is mostly based on land Maybe. make 2 stats seperate Mostly strength doesnt rely on land

4. Difficult terrain would add a nice touch to the game

5. Same as 2.

6. No rivers? i think you are being a bit opinion based. Some people like rivers they make it feel realistic And adds a good art to the game

7. Nukes should be a option to turn on or off and when a country is losing they can use a nuke although the opponents country will be a wasteland and can only get obtained for how many years you like

8. Pretty classic

9. puppets are good if a country dont want revolts

10.  YES! this should be a option and make treatys

11. Pacts will be intresting

12. Ehhhh.

You can already rename them before clicking Ready.

Did you know?

(+1)

maybe when a war starts there should a 5% that there a nuke going to be drop and a 15% chance that it explosion and a big one, but this can only happen every 150 years

(+1)(-5)

the evil elites of the west forcing this virtual game should be

stopped!!

https://postimg.cc/mcrdQR8z   halo!!

not a appropriate pc pc game !

(-1)

There should be a USA map

You can make one, also there is North America

(1 edit)

Just use the North America map without spawning in Canada/Mexico.

An Ireland map would be nice, with proper counties                                                           (eg: Louth,Cork,Dublin or Donegal)

(+2)

I have noticed an annoying thing with wars, when 2 nations are at war, if another nations border is next to it, the third nation will randomly get land on the border without being in the war. Is this a bug or a feature?, or am I just missing something?

not a bug, just a slight annoyance. This happens because nations will always try to get free land, and the third party in this case grabs the land faster than the two at war. I don't think this will get fixed, since it would require some heavy changes to the core systems

As a programmer i have a solution: don't make the pixel neutral, but in kind of in another state - "Burning" or "Spoilt by war" etc, and allow enemy states take such pixels with armies, but only them.

(-1)

It isn't that annoying to be honest, the third nation only takes a couple pixels

Yeah, but if there is a war between 2 small nations they could possibly be cut off eachother by the third side

yeah, I am kinda sorry for making this post. I have posted it before I started noticing the problems.

It is okay

i really dislike the fact that all exclaves get removed.... i understand if theyre completely behind enemy lines but what if its an islands? or bordering the sea? like Kalingrad? i think they should still exist

(1 edit)

Yeah it was kind of a tough choice, but the border gore was so excessive on larger maps. If the islands are connected by crossing tiles, they are not counted as exclaves.

true exclaves are too messy even in war

because i had 2 giant countrys war and peacing when they peace they go to war again and they have 2 different strategies they peace and blah blah blah and then they have 2 different strategies

(+1)(-1)

I have an idea for a neat little addition, Add the ability to delete nations in spawning nations time cuz i think we all have those moments where we accidentally place one extra nation, and we just have to restart and place everything back down also having the ability to end a nation during the game or for some reason during spawing nation time. it just puts out the annexing effect and the nation turns into unclaimed territory. The delete nations during spawn nations time would be a side tool so it would go, Spawn Nations, Delete Nations and ready. Of course when you click on a nation to delete it would put up a prompt saying if u do want to delete it. when you want to stop deleting nations it would say "stop deleting nations" like stop spawning nations thing. End Nation thing would be on the ability tab when you press a nation and open the 3 dots that shows all the other stuff like "revolt" and "attack

(+3)

I think the update where disconnected territory is deleted is a good thing, but I do think that if the country has access to some sort of coast, the territory should still be owned. For example, I had a game running where a nation conquered all of the Mediterranean,  but then lost it after some unlucky revolts and wars. The country was based in Spain, but also held all of the Anatolian Peninsula. Kind of Like how The Byzantines kept Southern Italy despite it not having a land border. I just think that would be a cool addition Maybe you could have an option to turn that on and off?

Thank you

(+2)

Add an Ireland map

(+2)

There should be a way to moodify the preset maps.

(+1)

Agreed

(1 edit) (+2)

So, I'm not a expert, but I have found out how to PROPERLY destroy revolts:

Basically,  if you fight a revolt country when your in war with a neighbor, there won't be enough army in the said revolt country to actually destroy it. You must make peace with any neighbor countries your in war with, and once your in peace, if you have armies activated, you will see the army surround the revolt country. Once you attack, THEN the revolt country will eventually die, and thus you will not have to worry.

It's not a glitch, and it's not unfair as most people say, the revolt country (again) actually expands from the lack of a proper army to destroy it, since said army is fighting on a war happening somewhere else.

It's not the people's fault, of course, because they can easily miss that small detail, but since I noticed I thought sharing it would be good for further explanation.

(+3)

Hello,

I wanted to contact you directly but found no way to.

There is currently a ghost nation bug in the game. Some nations do not exist, yet still, declare war/form alliances. As far as I can see it has to do with revolts being taken over by nations other than the nation they originated from. It affects gameplay as the AI dedicates armies to these non-existent countries and then they get attacked by another country that actually exists and completely collapse.

Noticed the same bug. Also some nations have a massive size despite not existing or being tiny, if they were really big before, which might be related to the exclave patch.

Yeah I screwed something up but I'm tryinh to fix it atm:)
