Hey, JokuPelle, I few suggestions regarding “cultures”:
1. I feel like it’d be a nice quality-of-life feature to allow the player to add multiple custom cultures in settings (not just edit one custom culture continuously). This way, they can select and deselect different “groups” easily instead of just editing the same custom culture.
Obviously, this isn’t a big deal, given you are logically able to concatenate/splice the strings for certain “groups” separately and then paste them into the custom culture sections respectively if you really wanted to.
2. It’d be cool to integrate cultures into the actual evolution of the game; for example, when creating a scenario, you’d be able to assign a culture to each state (so for the US, for example, it’d just be English). Then, when said countries have revolutions, their child states would have like a 70% to be derived from said culture (therefore being assigned with the same culture and possessing a randomly generated name from said culture). If it is determined that the revolutionary state should not be derived from its parent state (culturally), it randomly selects a different culture (from the cultures whitelisted by the player) in settings (therefore allowing for “diversity” and then the eventual annihilation of an entire culture due to its lessened influence over time).
This way, pre-made scenarios (like the World Map) would progress naturally (meaning that a state that revolts from the US will be less likely to have a name that historically originated from the other side of the world lol) and the simulation would be able to retain some sort of historical lineage.
i kinda would like a war list in the statistics to see how much nations are in one of the wars and also a army map mode back the higher the combat efficiency the stronger the army
Hello JokuPelle, I found 2 glitches with the new update 1: There's random nation names in other languages that don't use latin letters (I don't know if this is intentional or not) 2: When you try to spawn a nation, There's a chance that it doesn't spawn a city with it but instead a claimed pixel of land
Thanks for letting me know! I'll check it out. For the first one, are you sure you aren't referring to the random name cultures with flags in them. Those are intentionally written in russian/chinese
You can edit them in a file directly right now. There is a RandomNameSettings.json file in the same place as your saves and custom scenarios. But yeah I will add an in-game editor soon

Even if I create a TNO-style scenario, it would feel unnatural because the color of the sea isn't black.

What do I type for the AI to put randomly generated names as prefixes?
What do you mean? You can write whatever you want, just follow the pattern told above the 4 lists
Like generates a random name as a prefix or a suffix

Thanks for fixing the bug! It still shows some nations as fullName instead of the name itself. Though it shows capital cities now!
Are you sure you don't have "fullName" in your custom random names list?
I never changed the custom names list, I'm going to do that now. I forgot that there was one

Clicked on a glitched nation (the ones without cities) and it had the name of fullName1, so yes, it's a glitch.

Yeah, I was referring to that, You could add a setting where the russian and chinese ones are written in latin letters.

Can't we have something to add possible names in newly generated countries? Like a name pool so we can have thematic names depending of the region?
